Prescription Refills

Prescription refills may be made between the hours of 9:00am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Whenever possible, please request refills when you are in the office for a visit. This will leave our telephone lines free for emergencies.

Prior Authorization

Due to recent changes at many of the insurance companies, you may be asked to fill out a prior authorization form to receive prescriptions for certain medications. Because of the high cost of certain medicines, insurance companies are requiring that the doctor’s prescribing these medicines show that other lower cost medicines have been tried and either did not work or had bothersome side effects. There is a chance that your insurance company may deny the prior approval. Our office will notify you whether the medicine is approved or denied. Thank you for your help with this paperwork.
